About the Organisation

The Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut is the national meteorological institute of Denmark, Greenland and the Faeroe Islands. DMI has a solid and long-lasting experience in developing and operating atmospheric models on a limited area in an international collaboration with the HIRLAM community and the ECMWF. The expertise   also includes remote sensi
ng, e.g. processing of radio-occultation data for NWP, climate modelling and air pollution modelling problems. DMI is currently leading a COST action on European framework for online integrated air quality and meteorology modelling (EuMetChem) focusing on a new generation of online integrated Atmospheric Chemical Transport and Meteorology models. Additionally, DMI has expertise in arranging international meetings including summer schools.
